San Diego Exotic Enclosures builds custom terrariums, habitats, and decor designed for reptiles, amphibians, and other exotic animals. While we take care to create high-quality, animal-safe enclosures, you are ultimately responsible for the health, safety, and long-term care of your animal once our product leaves our hands.
1. Animal-Specific Requirements
It is the customer’s responsibility to understand the environmental, heating, lighting, and humidity needs of the species being housed. We are happy to assist with general recommendations, but final enclosure setup and husbandry must be tailored by the owner.
2. Heating, Lighting & Equipment Disclaimer
Unless otherwise stated in writing, our builds do not include lighting, heating elements, thermostats, or misting systems. Improper use or installation of such devices can pose a serious fire or animal safety risk. We are not liable for any injury, death, or property damage resulting from equipment use inside or near our enclosures.
3. Substrate, Decor & Climbing Safety
If you opt for additional elements like climbing walls, textured floors, or dig zones, please ensure they are appropriate for your animal’s age, size, and behavior. While we take care to minimize risks, no enclosure is completely risk-free, and animals may dig, chew, climb, or fall in unexpected ways.
4. Children and Pets
Never allow unsupervised children or household pets to interact with the enclosure or animals inside. Heavy lids, glass, and decor can pose injury risks if mishandled.
5. Modification Disclaimer
Any modifications made to the enclosure after delivery (cutting, gluing, resealing, repainting, etc.) are done at your own risk and void any warranty, refund, or repair options.
6. Bioactive Builds
If your enclosure includes live plants, microfauna, or a bioactive substrate, we provide basic setup guidance but do not guarantee the survival of plants or balance of microfauna. Bioactive environments require ongoing maintenance, observation, and adjustments.
By purchasing from San Diego Exotic Enclosures, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to this disclaimer. Always consult with a qualified exotic veterinarian for species-specific health concerns.
